I released His Own Being the same month that itch.io delisted all adult content. When that happened, the game's visibility was shot, as it became impossible to find through tags and searches. If adult content hadn't been delisted for paid projects, its analytics might look something like this:

Instead, there's simply nothing to show. 

I want people to find and play my games. That's part of why I make them! I've been thinking for a while about how to get a few more eyes on this thing, given the current circumstances. Here's what I came up with:

I am now offering free community copies for His Own Being. For every legitimate purchase of the game, I will add one additional community copy. My preference is that these will go to people who would otherwise be unable to purchase the game due to lack of funds, but the bottom line is that I want more people to play this thing. If you're interested in the game and have the means to purchase it, please do so; you will also be making a copy available for someone else who may not have been able to play it otherwise. If you take a community copy and enjoy it, please consider buying a copy as well, to effectively pass your free copy on to someone who needs it.

This doesn't solve the core issue of the game being delisted; there's no way to fully make up for that organic traffic. But maybe now, if someone likes the game, they can recommend it to someone they know and say, "You might even be able to play it for free." And that's better than nothing.
